I had a wonderful morning getting to know this little puppy named Boon! Isn't she precious? I always enjoy photographing puppies and couples. Kaleo and I also loved spending some time getting to know Marc & Heather and for once it wasn't at Aumbase Sedona or SYF. If you haven't heard about the Sedona Yoga Festival ... you should check it out! They do a fantastic job running it and making it super special =)
Marc + Heather explained to us that Boon was named "Boon" because she felt like a gift from heaven! Their close friend was in Colorado picking out her own puppy when she had the urge to pick out another on for Marc and Heather. She saw Boon and the eye's and the markings on the dog made her think of them. Without question she brought Boon home to Mark and Heather. They met Boon at the airport with tears of joy in their eyes.
Working with Monica in Oak Creek Canyon in Sedona was nothing but fun and delightful. She is a charismatic entrepreneur who is also super professional and creative. Those are traits I LOVE and so it’s no wonder when we came together magic happened! When we first met to talk about manifesting the photoshoot she showed me her Pinterest board she had created. It had examples of the photos that were elegant, entrepreneurial, natural, spiritual and magical. She was looking to use deep purples (royal) and lighter blues with a possible accent of golds because they are the colors for her brand. I was super attracted to all of the ones that had a fairy-tale green blurred backdrops and used natural light.
Tlaquepaque Arts & Crafts Village in Sedona celebrates holidays like Cinco De Mayo, providing lots of entertainment for both Sedona locals and visitors from around the world. This year I was excited to photograph this beautiful celebration!
🍻🍀Celebrating a little St. Patrick’s Day fun with my love Kaleo by eating lunch at one of our favorite spots in Sedona ... !Indian Gardens Cafe & Market !

WHY DO YOU LOVE THESE YOGA PANTS?
I fell in love with Yogi Yoga Wear pants during the Sedona Yoga Festival! Nina Joy Rizzo is the enthusiastic owner and creator of these colorful pants. She connected with me before the festival so that I could keep and eye out for and photograph people in her yogi yoga wear. I can't express how passionate Nina is about her art work that is on the yoga pants. Even better her yoga pants are made from recycled water bottles (ECO-FRIENDLY) and super soft! Nina has created many different kinds of styles, patterns, and colors of yoga pants! Here is a link to get your pair or just take a look: http://yogiyogawear.com/
I was so thrilled when Nina decided to set up a photoshoot with me to get photos for the cover of Canada Fashion Magazine! We chose to do the first editorial photo-shoot on a sunny day in Phoenix AZ of kundalini yoga teacher Prathna Kaur. I chose interesting yet simple backdrops that didn't scream Arizona keeping in mind that the photos will be in Canada Fashion Magazine.
We wanted to show the pants on different models and in different locations so for the second shoot we chose to photograph Natalie in Tlaquepaque at The Chai Spot! The Chai Spot was a perfect and unique backdrop to try a different boho look!
Sedona Yoga Festival
I am a local photographer born and raised here in Sedona. I have been a part of the Sedona Yoga Festival since they started it years ago. I started out volunteering or what the call an “angel” helping guide other throughout the festival in trade for taking classes. As my photography and yoga careers started to take off I naturally fell into taking photos for the Sedona Yoga Festival and enjoy doing so every year.
This year I would describe my experience to be powerful for making worldwide connections with other yogis and entrepreneurs around the world. I am so grateful to have experienced classes through my camera lens, a little bit of asana, savasana, and great conversations!
For the last few months I have had the pleasure of working with the beautiful musician Sophia Angeles and the AMAZING hair and make-up artist local here in Sedona ....Patricia Vega! Sophia and I always have fun together! The last two times we worked together we went to at least four different locations around Sedona. I looked for many different kinds of lighting situations and backdrops to compliment her hair and eyes. Through movement, jokes, silence, and stillness I was able to get some of her most gorgeous expressions!
