Heather and Randall’s wedding day was a perfect mixture of all the things that matter most to them… spirituality, music, signing, family, friends, fun, love, partying, dancing, food & drinks, sparklers, and more dancing.
The outdoor location they chose for their ceremony and reception has huge sentimental value as it’s right across from their loving home.
Heather put a lot of time and energy into organizing everything and making sure the focus would be both on the ceremony and the celebration afterwards. It was obvious she wanted all of her loved ones to feel blessed and have an amazing time celebrating. The pictures show just how successful she was!
As guests arrived they were ritually fanned in sage smoke with a feather wand to clear away any negativity and bring in an abundance of love and joy in preparation for the ceremony.
Randall and Heather had their great teacher and friend Razel, as the ceremonialist. Razel was so fun to get to know and I loved working with her! She radiated beauty and happiness and was the perfect match for the Bride and Groom.
The ceremony was an absolute joy to photograph. I was not allowed to take photos of some of the most private (intimate) rituals but the emotions and overall sacred feel of the ceremony certainly came through in the images captured.
After the ceremony Randy and Heather received lots of hugs and blessings from all of their friends and family and the happy couple was wrapped in a special native blanket.
We left the guests briefly to take bride and groom portraits. Fortunately, we had the huge Phoenix mountains and beautiful backlighting while the sun was setting to get some glorious shots.
Once they got back to their guests at the reception everyone was ready for drinks, toasts, and a feast before getting on the dance floor. The tables were decorated in a rainbow or assorted colorful flowers. They even made goodie bags for the kids to help keep them entertained. Taking personalization to a whole new level, Randy handmade dolls of himself and Heather for the cake table!
When the sun had set, they danced their first dance encircled by their loved ones holding sparklers. Magical! This is a moment I know they will never forget. The energy in the circle was so full of love!
The DJ Jasonannounced the Bride and Groom to the dance floor and kept everything running smoothly the entire Reception. I just wanted to give him a shout out to him by leaving his information here: Website: www.JazzyJEntertainment.com, Facebook: facebook.com/JazzyJEntertainment
